General idea: Cotton is a natural fiber made from the cotton plant. Cotton fabric is strong, durable, breathes well and is found in many different weights and weaves. My preferred cotton fabric for ring sling bodies is a light-to-midweight twill, ~6oz/yrd. Cotton is often blended with other fabrics such as linen, polyester, or lycra.
Care: Machine wash cold, delicate, with mild detergent. No bleach. Dry on low or hang to dry.
Tips: Lycra and polyester added to cotton reduce it's wrinkles but I think they make it a bit warmer to wear.
If you are very petite or live where it is quite hot, twills listed as midweight may feel too bulky and warm, however, they are wonderfully supportive for carrying heavy toddlers.
